Directions

We recommend taking the tram into town as the train and bus stations are 30-40 minutes walk from Olomouc centre:

FROM THE BUS STATION
*Go through the underpass and cross the tracks, buy a 10Kc ticket from the machine; Catch tram #4 to Namesti Hrdinu (14minutes) then follow the directions below:

FROM THE TRAIN STATION
* Buy a 10Kc ticket from the machine; Catch tram 4, 5, 6 or 7 to Namesti Hrdinu (11 minutes) then follow the directions below:

* Get off at Namesti Hrdinu
* Walk toward the red dome (away from the red church).
* We are to the right of the UMBRO shop at Sokolska 1.
* Buzz POETS CORNER doorbell and we will let you in.

Obviously it's easier to find your way if you arrive before dark. If you must arrive late, we recommend printing the map from this website.

If you choose to take a taxi from the train station, the fare should be about 100Kc.

If you're coming from Krakow, the Czech transport website www.idos.cz is the best place to find information about connections. If you use Polish transport information, Olomouc is sometimes spelt Ołomuniec. There's a fast direct train early in the morning, but the other connections require you to change at least once.
